Save these settings as the default - Should Not Save Chart Region?

When modifying an indicator's Input or Subgraphs settings and checking the "Save these settings as the default" checkbox, the Chart Region setting is also saved. Therefore when adding the indicator again, it is applied to whichever region it was formerly on when customized and not the next empty region. So I have to manually change the chart region of the indicator when it should just occupy the nearest free region. This has made me shy away from using this feature.

Is this necessary? I realize this setting has to be saved for creating a Study Collection, but I don't think it should for just customizing a single indicator. I don't remember it always being this way, but it has been now for some time. Maybe it was caused by a code refactor to a common function?

And also, when changing a subgraphs Width/Size, it is possible to set the value to 0 even though it doesn't show a difference. Is there some Draw Styles that this makes sense for? Or should the minimum value of the Width/Size spinbox be 1?

Can the Chart Region variable be excluded when using "Save these settings as the default" on the Study settings dialog?

No, that is not something that we would do.

So if a user has an indicator on region 12 and they want to change a subgraph's color, checks save the settings as the default. Every time the user adds the study to say a fresh chart, the indicator is placed on region 12 with regions 2-11 being empty, when it should have been placed on region 2.

Or if an indicator is customized on region 2, every time it is placed on a future chart it occupies region 2 on top of indicators already placed there, when it should have occupied the next free region.

Can you see my dilemma?

Would you reconsider? This annoyance has made me shy away from this feature and consider having my own version of any indicator that I want to change the color of a subgraph, or input setting in my own custom study dll.

I contend that most users just want to change a study's default input settings, maybe subgraph color or drawstyle and could care less that their study is applied to a specific region, if they do they can change it.
