I am having an issue connecting to my Sierra chart account from (Speedytradingservers.com) VPS. The error that I get is Sierra Chart Login Error: Timeout Error. There was no response. I have searched the board and the other people that had issues were told to check their firewall settings I have completely turned off the firewall and was able to connect once. Then I disconnected and tried to reconnect and I keep getting this error. Can you please advise as to what I can do to diagnosis the issue... The VPS is running windows server 2012r2. Also are there any particular ports that need to open to log in?

For testing when using the DTC - Sub Instance Service in Sierra Chart use the following:
Server Address: bitmextrade.sierracharts.com
Server Port: 5567
Use TLS: True

Provide the Sierra Chart Message Log after trying to connect. You should just get a username or password error.

I was able to get it to connect by luck after trying numerous times but if I disconnect even now and have Connect on startup checked it will not connect i will get the time out error. I have two installs of sierra on this VPS the first one where i was able to connect and unchecked *Connect on startup once sierra loads i can connect to data feed. Other install i am still getting the timeout error. What could be the problem is there a log I could send you I would like to get this figured out. Being that one install can now connect I don't see how this could be firewall related. Thank you

Refer to post #2. We only want you to test to that particular server given in post 2. We can only provide help connecting to a server known not to have any issues.
