Sierra, I've been experiencing lock ups (freezes) in my NQ chart 610 Tick intraday. Questions: 1. What could be causing a chart lock up? 2. Suggestions for keeping this from occurring? 3. Could it be due to multiple chart drawings? Like extended triangles for value areas? Note: the lock up is on the chart only the dom keeps working. Thanks, Marc |

We are not sure what you truly mean. If a chart stops updating, then refer to help topic 3: Http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails3.html If you are referring to a totally nonresponsive and non-operable user interface, then we need to understand that. Note: the lock up is on the chart only the dom keeps working. Once again this is just not totally clear for us. When you say DOM we do not know if you are referring to the Sierra Chart software or some other program.

Clarification The Chart that freezes up is a Historical Data chart The Dom is a Sierra Dom Example: The bars are coming out perfectly on the chart, then the bars no longer move they are frozen in time. I look to my left at the "Sierra" Dom and the dome is working fine, price data flows into the dome. That means the data feed is working, but for some reson the Chart is locked up, frozen, no bars, not moving. I don't know any other way to say it. My question is: Why is this occuring Can it be fixed, because as you know when a chart if frozen its a problem.
