SierraChart 64 and Trade Activity

Hi,

I am testing 64 bit version of SierraCharts and all seems well, except the trade activity window. It shows no trading activity records, while changing to the 32 bit version shows all my trading activity. Is it a known bug/problem ?

We are not aware of any problem like this and have not observed it and there are no other reports of this. Make sure the controls at the top of the Trade Activity Log are set correctly.:

I understand now why its not a known problem, it only happens on 64bit version on linux ( 32bit works like in windows ). If its any help, all controls allow to be set correctly, except P/L format ( is always blank with no selection available ).

I know that you don't give support for linux.

That's interesting. We would not expect a problem.


One thing that we have recently become aware of is that when a user updates to the prerelease and then goes back to the current release, there is an incompatibility with the Trade Activity Log data file and they will lose some trade activity records. But the solution is just to restore a backup trade activity log file:

Not sure if that is what is happening in your case but letting you know.

Hi. I got the same issue on wine. Everything works well with 32bit version, but using the 64bit version the tabs in the trade activity log are not available. I tested two versions of wine (1.8 and 3.4) on multiarch-enabled debian stable.
