Can their be a global general setting to enable the vertical and horizontal grid - all regions by default on new chart creation? Every time I create a new chart I have to click Alt+Shift+H+V to enable them.

Are you aware of this

1 Right click symbol tab >> click duplicate chart
2. All grid lines (if on original chart) & studies will be duplicated to new chart.
3. Chart Setting >> select new symbol

Yes, I am aware of duplicate chart. I even have it as one of my right click chart shortcut-menu buttons. But why duplicate a chart, remove the studies, and change symbol when there could be a global enable grid lines by default setting?

I've even made a custom ACSIL study function that I've named "Chart Formatter" that is added to each new chart automatically. It sets the scale increment and horizontal grid line increment to 10 pip increments (Forex symbols), and it also locks the fill space. But there's no ACSIL variable or function that I know of to visually enable the grid lines.

Thank you for your input

Really by duplicating a chart is the method by which existing studies can be used in a new chart:
Using Chart Templates: Duplicating Charts / Template Charts

We will make a note to add vertical and horizontal grid line variables to ACSIL.

Yes, if there could be ACSIL variables that I could set in if (sc.Index == 0) code block on my "Chart Formatter" study then that would solve my minor gripe with having to Alt+Shift+H+V every time I add a new chart. Specifically I would like to enable the vertical and horizontal grid for all regions not just the region the study is applied to.

I appreciate it as always.

Functions for enabling and disabling the horizontal and vertical chart grid have been added to ACSIL in 1710.
