Any update when Oanda Trading Service will be available ?
Is it with in 1-2 months ?
Or is it better to transfer my account to fxcm.com because you have FXCM Trading Service.

I am looking forward to Oanda Trading Service too.
Would be it ready within this year?

I have requested FXCM demo with SC today. But I would prefer to stay with Oanda, as I have been with Oanda for years.

We have to be responsible here and let you know what our current position on this is. We have put Oanda support on hold. The general reason is that there are some technical complications due to the market data and we just cannot commit time to this due to other projects we are working on that are much higher priority and must take precedence over this. It is not merely a matter of programming. There is ongoing support and that is really where the difficulties arise.

No "Onada Trading Service" even on this year ?

There might be different scenarios :

- Me and Patrick will leave Sierra Charts and start to use MT4 or MT5 because they support Oanda
- May be some will think the same way and follow us.
- Or if you provide Onada Trading Service many more people start to use Sierra Charts

I think Sierra Chart will gain more customes if they support Oanda. It will be good selling point.
Oanda is better than FXCM. We all have head the news about FXCM.

I love Sierra Chart and I am not leaving :)

No we do not expect that.

Why not use LMAX:
LMAX Trading Service

Is it because of the account balance minimum? We probably can solve that issue with them.

Been using Oanda for years.
Recently in a move to use SC for my FX trades, I started using LMAX.
I got a shock on how high their overnight swaps is.
US$43.50 for just 100K units of EURUSD, and on top of that the round trip commission is almost US$6.
IMO, LMAX is only great for day trading.

Back to using Oanda.
Now I can only hope that one fine day it would be integrated with SC.

I'm looking into Oanda's data feed at the moment... if possible, could the SC devs flesh out any details around what the difficulties were? This would be a great help in terms of the my own DIY effort.

We can add support for Oanda if we can use their FIX connection and send orders for different accounts over it or if an omnibus account is used but the omnibus account creates a lot of regulatory complications.

We will check on this, this week but the soonest anything could be done would be many months from now.

Regarding post #14, what kind of deal could SC arrange for us with LMAX?

We do not know at this time but we will contact LMAX in regards to this in the coming days.

So we have asked LMAX in regards to the minimum initial account balance. If you are not within New Zealand or the EEA you can open an account with LMAX New Zealand for 2000 USD.

Or you can open an account with LMAX global without any residency restrictions with a minimum initial balance of 5000 USD.

Does SC support LMAX NZ accounts denominated in USD or would an LMAX Global account be required instead? Or is the account currency not a problem with LMAX like it is with FXCM?
