Different Installation Tool w/current Pre-Release?

I updated via fast update to v1684 Edit: v1682 and noticed it didn’t come up with the standard SC Installation update Window this time like it always has before. It looked like a more standard Windows based installation and asked me where I wanted to install SC and where I wanted the shortcuts installed. I pointed it to my existing installation and installed. The process was completely different than all the other times I’ve updated or installed SC. After the update clicking on the SC icon did NOT open the program. I ended up opening my backup installation of SC and updated that to the current regular release as normal until I figure this out. yup got that too, one of the prerelease deployed the old installer with VC2010 runtime choice. I used the SierraChartDownloader.exe from another Sierra folder to launch the good recent installer. |

First there is no version 1684. We know why this happened and it has been resolved. It was an older installer being returned. There would not have been any harm by running that installer but you would have gotten a much older version of Sierra Chart. Sorry, I posted this from my phone in the car from memory as I had to run somewhere. As you noted, it's version 1682 I installed using the other Downloader you linked to and am back up and running with my main version. Thanks -- Scott (And thank you Gomi for your suggestion also!)
