FOREX spread charts (with LMAX): can i invert a pair? (EUR/GBP into GBP/EUR)

Hello, Sorry my English is pretty bad (I am French/Polish). But i am thinking for to start trading with Sierra Chart, i just need to know if it's possible to do one thing. I want for example to create a spread chart between GBPEUR/EURUSD (for to trade on GBP/USD), because my trading account is in euro, so the performance of those pairs directly impact the value of my account. I know already that this is possible with Sierra Chart, my only problem is that i am not sure if i can invert the value of the EUR/GBP into GBP/EUR. Can someone help me? Do i need just to put -1 in the window "Chart Multiplier"? Best regards. |

You can also add the study called "1 Divided By Price"

Great. Thank you very much for your answer, this will probably solve my problem, i will test this. By the way, maybe i did a mistake with the spread chart i want to use. Because maybe it's better to do a GBPEUR/USDEUR chart if i want to see the variation of the euro. I am not sure, i will test this. Good trading and have a nice day! :) |

It is best to use this chart setting option to invert prices: Chart Settings: Invert Prices (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol Settings menu) But do not trade from an inverted price chart. There is no conversion. We never implemented that because we were very afraid of causing some inadvertent problem with price handling when prices are not inverted. Thank you very much. I will look at those things. It's good to know that those things are possible with your platform. And of course, it's not in my intention to trade directly on those charts, i want to use them only for information purpose (like an indicator). Best regards. |
