Trying to switch from DTN to Sierra Chart data. Have IB acct. No luck.

Will the data be coming from IB or SC?

Had TWS running and error log said can tlogin twice. So closed TWS and still no luck. Wont connect.

There is no error log and just a blank page where a chart should be. Changed the symbol.

Do I set username and pword in Sierra or leave TWS running and use 127.0.0.1

.and I will ask again...does the data come from Sierra or IB?

This is the problem:

SC Data - All Services | Logon error received from server: Limited to one connection per username for the requested data source. | 2017-12-12 15:24:45

Refer to:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#Connections (Section named "Connections")

.and I will ask again...does the data come from Sierra or IB?

Just Providing links is not helpful.

I will ask a third time... Does the data come from SC or IB?

Please remember you are dealing with a customer(your boss)

I will also ask again.. Do I leave open TWS and get data that way or thru the log in on Sierra.

Please answer me and do not just provide link that I have to hunt thru for hours to find an answer that is simple to you.

If you cannot, please give me the name and email of your boss.

The section we linked to is here:

https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#IntegrationWithTradingServices

Read it. It does not take hours and the title of it is " Integration with Trading Services".

Below it is this particular section:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#ConnectingOnlyOnceAMonthToTradingAccount

With the title "Connecting Only Once a Month to Trading Account to Support CME Group Exchange Fees"

Update: Sometimes web browsers do not scroll to the correct position. So make sure you are looking at the section with the titles we gave.

We are not going to restate here what is already written very well in the documentation. Your questions are all answered there.

There is not anything further you will get out of us.

You are already dealing with the senior engineers and management here.

Do I leave open TWS and get data that way or thru the log in on Sierra.
You do have to at least connect to Trader Workstation at least once a month.

Also refer to the prior response.

Another thing we want to make sure you have is the set up instructions to connect Sierra Chart to Interactive Brokers TWS:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/InteractiveBrokers.php#SetupInstructions

And also be sure to refer to post #8 above.

Now, if you need help with this, we can help you with remote assistance. That is not a problem. So let us know.

Well, I got it to work on one setup. No thanks to you sadly..Just me trial and erroring..

Now how about on a New instance..?

The screen on the new instance is just blank unless I set the symbol to the old DTN symbol and even then it will not update in real time

We did offer remote assistance help at post 10 above. We are not refusing to help. There is nothing more we can write that the documentation does not already say. The documentation also includes a screenshots as well.

We also clarified the title of each of the sections we referred you to in case your browser might not be scrolling to the correct location.

We understand, that the main instance of Sierra Chart is working as you require. If not, let us know.

If you want to use another instance, use File >> New Instance:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/NewInstance.php

In that second instance, the first step is to open a new chart, just to keep this simple at first, and make sure that chart receives historical data and updates in real-time. If not, then we will need to see the Message Log by following these instructions here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#MessageLog

You also failed to give me you bosses email..
You just need to use the support board. That is the email address.
