Updated to v1667 and SC freezes now every time I attempt to open it. I could not roll back to a prior release. I killed SC processes via task manager and tried again 4 times to just have it lock up again. I never got connected during any of those attempts and downloading the Fast Update failed each time ending in frozen chart windows and no Tabs painted.

I ended up installing a fresh copy of v1665, moved all of my information over from my current installation and SC opens and works as expected.

Thanks -- Scott

This is surprising and we would not have expected this.

It runs completely stable for us.

In any case, the simple solution is just to install the previous version of Sierra Chart into the same folder following the instructions here:

Sounds like another Windows 10 issue. Microsoft is doing a good job creating a poor impression of Sierra Chart with with all their garbage issues. They are causing us internal problems as well. This is the consequence of Windows 10. Although it is possible, there is some problem related to the particular chart configuration you are using. We would need to get your Chartbook in order to test.

We are able to reproduce this problem as well. We are looking into it and have removed this version.

Apparently it relates to the additions made to isolate this Windows 10 problem.

We had this problem now resolved.

During chart drawing, we had avoided the use of a certain MFC function and used the direct operating system equivalent but that was causing an unexpected issue. Our testing did not reveal any problem. Apparently an issue shows up with detached charts.

We are putting out a new release in a few minutes.
