When pulling the fib retracement, I realize that you are retracing from 1 back to 0.

Therefore, all the numbers should reflect that. But I want to think that before I upgraded that the fib “number of points” would actually tell you how many points each line represented, but the count would start a 1 being 1 and counting the number of points to the other numbers instead of how this picture shows starting at 18 and counting down or back to 0. Has it always been that way or did something change….

The attached JJChart2 file is what I am talking about.

The attached JJChart3 file is how it worked last week.

For us to be able to understand this and look into this, it is necessary for us to get that one single chart with just a that one single Chart Drawing and no studies.

Remove all studies from the chart and remove all Chart Drawings except for one Price Retracement drawing. Follow the instructions here to attach it:

What we see in that chart image does make sense.

The calculations are correct as documented here:

Please look at the "Points" on this attachment....they do not reset at 0. This was how it used to be before the new upgrade.

Once again our answer in response to this is as we stated in post #2.

If we do not get the Chartbook, there is no way we can look into this.

The only chartbook they have now are with the newer version, which shows the Points "resetting" at 0.

The screenshots shown clearly show the difference in display the points.

If you want to hop on a call, I'd be more than happy to talk about this. Thanks.

The points resetting at 0 is correct. This is what is documented.

The way the calculation is done is documented here:
Chart Drawing Tools: Price Retracement | Price Expansion | Price Projection Configuration

In the subsection for "Show Points"

We need to see if there was a change with this.

Okay, got it.

Before, the points would count from start of the fib to end of the fib, without resetting at 0.

Let me know - thank you!

It would be best for us to understand how they want the calculation done and why.
