Hello,

ive tried to get a limit touch chase order working at reply mode without success, it gets immediately filled after pricelevel is touched there is no chase at all.

I want to have an ordertarget which starts chasing the market with an offset of 5-10 ticks after marketprice touches my "touch price line" which activates the limit chase order.

Is there a way to code a DLL or Addon with an selfdefined limit chase order with an own style?

All the best.

It is very doubtful that this Order Type is not working as documented. It does make sense, that when it is touched, that it will fill almost right away.

Hi,

maybe there is a functional missunderstanding from my side or the ordertype isnt working properly. Btw. The normal limit chase order works fine.

I think it should not get filled as soon as it touches the activation level. It seems there was a guy which had also difficulties to get it working:

Limit Touch Chase order

If i understand it correctly the only difference between limit touch chase is:
The "touch" is a pricelevel is a line in the sand to activate the following of the market price?

Is there a way to set a offset how many ticks it below/above the marketprice it should follow?
Lets say Offset of 5 ticks below/above marketprice and chase it after touching the pricelevel?

All the best!

Really the concept of a Limit Touch Chase is probably dumb and that is why it does not really seem to make sense to work as you might envision. It makes total sense, that once it is touched, it has a very high probability of filling right away.

Probably what happened is that when this was requested, we implemented it based upon what the user wrote but they probably really did not express it properly.

No, this is not supported.
