We expect a 64-bit version to be released hopefully no later than March 2018.

yeah, that would be nice.it is absolutely terrible to work with 32 bit version i have to say.. it is soooo slow.. and keeps collapsing all the time. no matter i have it installed on a server that is extremelly fast wit 50 giga ram + ssdisk.. this is really slow software and it is not good

The 64-bit version is not going to be much faster if at all. Refer to help topic 30 if you have performance issues:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails30.html

With what you describe, you really need to use multiple instances of Sierra Chart and use multiple SSDs with a different instance of Sierra Chart on each one.

With what you describe, we do not think using a single 64-bit version is the right approach. And this is one reason among several others, why it has not been yet released because generally it is not the right solution in many cases.

yes, this is how i have it, i have a system with SSDs + high RAM, mulitple copies of siera are installed to proceeded some backtest. yet, almost each time i try to load more days with a custom chart based on one trade timeframe i get OUT OF MEMORY mistake. it really drives me crazy.

shall i backtest week after week after week after week...? cant be serious..

i need to beckest 3 months on one go

OK really you just have to wait for the 64-bit version then. This is something that we will try to get out as soon as we can.

However, we think that the model that Sierra Chart is using for back testing is not really the best in your particular case.

It would be best that a segment of data is loaded, processed and then released. Instead of all of the data loaded at once. Obviously 3 months of single trade data at each bar is not efficient.
