Hi, is there a way to copy drawings from a chart on 1 workspace to a chart on another workspace?

Follow up question, what is the file name that stores the chart drawings? If, for example I want to copy the drawings I have on a chart to another Sierra chart instance, would there be an easy way to do that each morning?

Thanks!

Refer to the information regarding copying to a different chartbook here:
Chart Settings: Copy Chart Drawings from Chart #'s (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Drawings menu)

what is the file name that stores the chart drawings? If, for example I want to copy the drawings I have on a chart to another Sierra chart instance, would there be an easy way to do that each morning?

The drawings are stored with the chart in the Chartbooks.

thanks, so I would just need to copy the chart file ( .cht in the data folder)?

Yes, you can copy the .cht file, which is a Chartbook file. Just be sure Sierra Chart is not running on the system when you copy or paste it.

Also, understand that if a chartbook with the same name already exists it will overwrite it and you will lose the information that was in the file that was overwritten.

No, it will not automatically update the symbols. But once you open the copied Chartbook just select Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service and that will change all the symbols within the Chartbook for you.
