Today I updated to 1633 and when I restarted the software it crashed with a Windows error. Repeated attempts to run it crashed every time, even after Windows was restarted.

I downgraded to version 1632 from the Sierra Chart Installer and I am again able to run it successfully. I've made no other changes and am loading the same Chartbooks.

Please let me know what you need if you'd like to take a look at this problem.

Thanks

1. We want you to run Sierra Chart in Safe Mode:
Sierra Chart - Software Login Instructions: Using Safe Mode

2. Does the abnormal shutdown occur when a Chartbook is loading?

I've traced the crash to the opening of a chartbook that includes a spreadsheet study. The crash occurs in both versions 1633 & 1644. Other chartbooks open fine.

Does this abnormal/exception problem happen when you use Safe Mode? We need to know.

So far we cannot reproduce this but we are not using your custom studies.

Here's the custom study I'm using. I've using this version since June with no problems. I again checked and SC 1632 works fine.

But the question we have is do you notice the problem with "Safe Mode"?

No, it does not crash in safe mode.

I downloaded 1634 again and recompiled my CPP file using that version. Sierra Chart no longer crashes when the chartbook and custom study are loaded.

Yes we know that would be the case. We know the particular code change which is causing the problem but we do not know why.

We are going to revert it for the time being.
