Using data feeed : SC data - all services, I try to update all the stocks in my (large : 5944 symbols) watchlist with historical daily data (using Edit / Download daily data from associated watchlist sym) in order to be able to scan this watchlist.
At some point, I have the error message :
Error downloading historical Daily data for xxxx. Error: hourly quota exceeded

I have not found this limitation in the doc, am I missing something or a setting ?

This is imposed by Barchart. We do not have any control over that.

Ok, can you provide me a link to the related doc, onSC or barchart ?
It is usefull to know how many symbols can be downloaded during one hour, is it from xxh00 to xx+1h00 or one hour since start, etc. ?

I also have the same question for this error message that I noticed :
Symbol Error - PYPL is unknown, unavailable, or improperly formatted. Over symbol limit. Limit is 90 symbols.

Scanning large watchlist (3000-6000) like sym from the NYSE or NQ may be quite difficult with these limitations, do you have an idea how it could be done ?

We do not know where Barchart has documentation for that.

The exact rules are not known to us.

Yes, you need to pay more and we will have to contact Barchart about pricing.

But you do not require 3000 to 6000 real-time symbols. That is going to be very expensive. It is simply not necessary. Just reconnect to the data feed before you need to do a scan so you get the current data. Otherwise the cost is going to be $10/month per real-time 100 symbols.

We have to find out the cost to increase the historical data queries per hour.

I agree, as I scan on historical data, I do not need real time scanning.

Before knowing the cost to increase, knowing the figures on limitation (how many per hour, caracteristics of limitation) could be enough for me, and usefull for others : for example, maybe we can split big list and run histo daily update at different time.
Edit : or specify a value in "chart update interval in ms" in order to comply to this limit.

You can certainly increase the Chart Update Interval within Chart >> Chart Settings to a higher interval to work around this problem.

Thanks for the idea. I tried it and set the chart update interval to 1.9s (aim was to update 1900 daily historical charts 1900 in 1 hour) but it did not solve the problem : I was faced with the hourly limit very soon as the update speed remained the same.
i was thninking of using this parameter for the scan problem, but it also failed to solve it (will update the relevant ticket)

Maybe Barchart can rethink this hourly limitation : basically, it imply that if one update the EOD data of the NYSE + NQ every day, he is just updating +- 5900 lines of text but he will have to do it on 4 hours.
Such a limitation is not in line with the usual data possibilities and limitation in 2017.

We apologize for not considering this carefully and going into details. The Chart Update Interval only makes a difference when you are relying upon the scan to perform a historical data download rather than doing them ahead of time. We are preparing documentation now for how to do this.
