Connection to CTS is good, but realtime streaming is not functioning. Is there a status update on this? Other traders using Sierra Charts are reporting the same issue.

Maybe he's like me. I have no working chartbook backups that work with 997. What should I do? Do I keep waiting for a "fix". Or do I spend the next two days rebuilding my chartbooks from scratch? Please give an answer. I understand this is probably out of your control SC. But I still need to know what to do.

We are not really sure what the status of this is with CTS.

As we understand it has to do with the CPU load on the FIX server. If many users are moving over to 997, there will be less of a load, so we assume there will be less of a problem. You may just want to wait.

Thank you SC for the reply. Well, did they pull the plug on the SIM server altogether? I have had no connection since 15:30 cst yesterday. No connection this morning. Another day, no trading?

Unfortunately, they have apparently taken the simulation server down. The Live server still available.

These are the instructions to follow if anyone has difficulties with versions beyond 997 when using CTS Simulation server:

Use version 997 of Sierra Chart which uses the T4 API:
http://www.sierrachart.com/downloads/997SierraChartSetup.exe

If you will be using your existing Chartbooks after going back to version 997, you will need to use a backup Chartbook. Here are the instructions:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_Chartbooks.html

The symbols that version 997 and earlier use for CTS are different. You can find the symbols through File >> Find Symbol. To make sure you have only the Symbols relevant to the version being used, we recommend selecting Global Settings >> Symbol Settings. Press the Full Reset button. Wait for the symbol list to fill and then press OK.

You can update the symbols of existing charts by following the instructions here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_SwitchingSymbols.html

You spoke too soon SC :) The SIM server just came back up about 5 minutes ago. I am connected with live data coming through. Everything is working great, for the moment. Not sure how much I should trust it though. I hope this isn't temporary.

This came, very coincidentally, about 30 minutes after I sent a nice little email to CTS expressing my thoughts about this ;)

This is good. We also hope that email was nice. We know there are problems on the CTS side but we do appreciate them supporting the FIX protocol.

What has caught us by surprise, is the level of difficulties users are experiencing with it.
