any further news on this? (User531934) customer is used to a bar that fills from the offset immediately when the bar forms. This is more intuitive to us. The SC universal Renko bars do not. If this doesn’t make sense to you, see my Support board posts (User531934), I would think the support guys get it. I think the best solution would be to just provide a button to turn this feature on if a user wants it. |

We will see about this but this is unlikely to be done. We are doing work on Renko bars at this time and we will see as we complete the work over the next 2 to 3 weeks. hi, below is from a user any insight would be helpful, I will be sending you his e-mail because i could not find out how to attach a word document to this post, please check your inbox FYI- I gave the SC Support team some feedback on the new universal renko code today on the support board. Seems they took a step backward with the new code. The old code was closer to the desired operation. They must not be understanding what I’m asking for. Support Board Message: Just checked the universal Renko chart operation for the latest version of code, AT1633 (I had also tried AT1628 last week and saw similar results). I can't seem to find any universal Renko settings that provide the desired operation I'm looking for. I reverted back to the AT1614 code and the operation was much closer to what I desire. I captured some snips of the desired operation vs the SC universal Renko chart operation and summarized this in the attached doc. I also tried to describe the desired operation in more detail after the snips. Please review and comment. |

We did look over the document they gave us before. The Universal Renko bars in the latest prerelease should be as they describe except for the last bar. We are fairly certain of that. There is also a new setting to control some details of Renko bar formation. They need to use the latest prerelease. Refer to the instructions here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SoftwareDownload.php#FastUpdate We cannot make any changes to how the last bar is displayed until it is complete. There is simply no chance of that whatsoever and they need to understand we are not going to do any work in that area. If Sierra Chart does not meet their requirements they need to use another program. If there are any further issues, we will need to look at this later on and we do not want to get any further information about this from them. Refer to the version notes for 1646 and use that version. We did some additional Renko development: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/Whats_New.php#SCVer1646 We found a problem with the latest implementation with one of the Renko modes which has been solved. Good chance, they will now get what they want or at least reasonably so. If there still is a difference, might be best that we do a remote assistance session with them, and they can show was one particular point and we will see what we can do. But after all of our work on this, we really have come to the conclusion, that Universal Renko bars in ninja trader do not function according to what they are intended or to proper design principles.
