Zig Zag Cumulative Volume needs to be recompiled for this version of Sierra Chart

Hi, I updated the Sierra charts to the latest version (1609) and now I get a message in the log file that says : “Zig Zag Cumulative Volume needs to be recompiled for this version of Sierra Chart” When I try this via Analysis >> Build Custom Studies DLL the rebuild of the file ZigZagCumVolume.cpp ends with errors. Yes you do need to recompile the custom study and resolve the errors. If you need help with the errors, tell us what they are specifically and show us the call to the zigzag study function.

I uploaded the zigzagcumvolume.cpp file and a txt file with the errors during compiling.

The zigzag study I am using is the SierraChartStudies.scsf_ZigZagCumulativeVolumeStudy. If I am not mistaken this is the study from Sierra Chart. I thought I was still using the old cpp file but this is not the case. However in the log file I still get numerous lines with "Zig Zag Cumulative Volume needs to be recompiled for this version of Sierra Chart". |

That is not what you are using. Remove whatever zig zag studies you have on the chart and only add the built-in Sierra Chart Zig Zag studies. I finally found the culprit thanks to your last post. In some of my charts which I don't use very often the old zigzag cumulative volume study was hidden. In the charts I use to trade I used the built-in study. For me everything was working fine although these messages appeared in the log file. Problem solved. Thanks |
