Bad news. The two charts still have the current price sync issue.

The issue seems to be made worse when the "Jump method" is use to move ahead one bar at a time.

I use the Jump method to quickly get to the bar that I want to test the spreadsheet cell formula accuracy while keep the replay speed at 1.00.

The current price on the two charts go way out of sync and don't sync back up.
Slowing the speed down or speeding it up does not bring the two charts back in sync.

Screen shot attached none private mode:
So other members will understand the issue, in case they have problems with their strats not working based on current price action of multiple charts

Note: Custom Indicator values and names erased on screen shot to protect intellectual property.

To imply there is the same kind of synchronization issue existing, is simply not true.

The issue seems to be made worse when the "Jump method" is use to move ahead one bar at a time.
This is guaranteed to cause a loss of synchronization and that should be obvious why. Jumping ahead by one bar, with bar time frames are different between the charts is going to cause a loss of synchronization. You can only jump forward by time.

We cannot provide further help with this.

A Renko bar isn't based on time. Its based on price movement.

So to say that "You can only jump forward by time" on a Renko chart, makes no sense.

The main chart that the replay is done on (Renko Chart )and the 5 min chart is the linked/following chart.

Logic would think that when the Renko chart is jumped one bar, then the 5 min chart should move forward as many minutes(bars) it took to form that new Renko bar and have the same current price as the Renko bar.

If the 5 min charts has to move 60(5 min)bars forward to keep the current price in sync with the current price of the Renko bar. Then that is what should happen.

Why should current market price be different based on the type of chart used?

That's like saying a trader who uses a 5 min chart to trade gets a different current market price from the exchange then a trader who uses a Renko chart to trade.

When Im watching a Renko chart in live mode and price hasn't moved enough to create a new renko bar, but 30 mins has past in time. Six (5 minute bar)would have printed on the 5 min chart and the current price would still be the same as the Renko chart.

The jumping forward by a bar during a multi-chart replay is not designed like you are thinking.

It is not something we can spend any time on now. It is not something to wait around for either. It is not going to come in the foreseeable future, if ever. It is very complex to implement.

This support request is now considered completed.

Maybe there is a solution, and we will think about it, but it is not necessarily something we can do quickly.

Update: After looking at this some more, a solution does seem to be reasonably possible but it is involved and it is not something that we can do anytime soon. Possibly sometime later next year at the soonest.

In some testing yesterday we did notice a problem where Sierra Chart is not automatically skipping past data outside of the Session Times. We are going to fix that today. This is an unexpected issue which apparently arose recently.

This is unrelated to the original issue but we just wanted to post it here.
