Numbers Bars Old stop updating

Hello Support,

I'm using numbers bars old with a chart-dom.

Both yesterday and today after 1:30pm, the volume numbers in the bars stop updating. In fact, it's still happening now. The links below are from 2 different times and only values in the depth are changing.

I was also in a trade today around 1:20pm cst when the depth on CL was showing 10826 x 10827, but the current price was trading 10832. I will send a private message with that screenshot of the live chart if you request it.

Actually, it may not have anything to do with Numbers Bars Old. None of the charts are updating except the last price.

Well, okay, that allowed the price action to continue updating.

So I've modified the CL Session Times
FROM
Start:08:00:00
End Time:13:29:59
Evening Start: 17:00:00
Evening End: 07:59:59

TO
Start:00:00:00
End Time:23:59:59
Evening Start: N/A
Evening End: N/A

This changes the display of the TPO Profile Chart, Daily OHLC, and the Daily OHLC Day Session Only levels. I noticed the chart not updating phenomena after updating from 997 to 1020 and switching from Transact to CTS.

I had an expectation that the Start End times would alter how the Studies were displayed and not to disable chart updating in the middle of the day.

And I'm still stumped about the DOM depth not keeping pace with the current bid/ask in slow or fast markets. This has been showing up several times per day and a restart does not seem to matter. It is happening now at 06:45am cst. The pc is dedicated to SC and TOS with no a/v and no firewall.

The documentation in help topic 3.3 makes reference to the time zone.

So therefore it sounds as though your time zone is not set correctly in Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings. Please check to make sure it is correct and set the Session Times in the chart as you require.


Also these times create a 3 1/2 hour gap in the chart where you will not see updating assuming the market is active during that time.

About post #5 which is about the market depth data, when you notice this, do you see the market depth volumes change? Or do they stay the same.

The depth volumes remain in the same location and the values remain unchanged regardless of price movement. Choosing disconnect/connect will bring the depth to the current price with new values, and then price just moves away and the depth does not follow.

I'll sit on the sidelines for a few days for the latest CTS FIX. This started happening around 1:20pm Thursday 09/05/13.


It is not clear what Session Times should be used for CL. I've been using this for some time with success. Specifically I use 2 instances of Daily OHLC, one that uses Day Session Only and one that does not. My objective has been to automatically draw horizontal lines for the 24h OHLC and the Previous Session OHLC. This has always worked until this week (switch to CTS and v1020. Now the chart candles are no longer painting after 1:30pm cst. I thought these values only affected the Studies

Start:08:00:00
End Time:13:29:59
Evening Start: 17:00:00
Evening End: 07:59:59

I guess the question now is this: Is there a way to draw OHLC for the Prior Day and for the Prior Cash Session in CL?

We do not recommend skipping any minutes in the Session Times.

In regards to the problem with the market depth data, how do you have Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >>Data Throughput and Buffering set? This is a new setting only in the newest versions.

Data Throughput and Buffering = "Fast Trade"

Everything worked fine Mon, Tue, Wed, and Thursday until ~1:20pm CST. Using v1020 all week and I was not fiddling with any settings when this issue appeared.

It worked Sunday night and fine today until a few minutes ago. I was using 1020, upgraded to 1022 at 7:11am cst and it is still not working. You are welcome to call and/or remote in. 75.149.71.93
