Does the Automatically Rollover Futures Symbol need to be enabled for the Detect Rollover of Current Futures Contract Symbols Based on Real-time Volume to work?

No it does not and here is the documentation for that setting: General Settings Window: Detect Rollover Of Current Futures Contracts Symbols Based On Real Time Volume (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Charts >> Symbol) That setting is not going to automatically rollover a futures symbol.
