delay in update data at the chart

Hi SC,

I noticed from the beginning of this week that there is a delay in updating the price on the graph compared to the data of the DOM window (transact )

Any suggestion ?

with one of the updates they've reset the default chart update interval to 600ms.. i got distracted by that too.. just change it in the settings.

it is true as i have experienced it myself.. i had set it to 50ms and with the latest update it got set to 600ms

Therefore, there is some other explanation for this. Sierra Chart would not have changed that setting. That simply does not make sense. And no other user would have experienced this.

i shut down sc in the evening, did an update to the latest dev release and openend it the next morning - it ended up being that way..

lets wait for User472577 - maybe there is your other user, experiencing this...

I referred to help topic 4 , and nothing help to solve the issue.
i can tell you that the data is not updating in real time at the chart .
I have not experienced this problem before , It all started last week
hope you will solve it ...

I may have not explained myself correctly In the previous post....
The data is updated and printed on the graph, but the delay is more than one second sometimes compared to DOM window

And it's very disturbing

i followed the instruction of help topic 4 . and nothing changed

Hi again

the delay is only with tick by tick data ,
when i use unit time like (1 sec or minutes) the market is updated without any delay.

but when i use the tick data , the data on the chart updated behind the DOM window .

can you check the issue please

Assuming this is accurate, it is a very significant delay, and if you are saying it only happens when the Intraday Data Storage Time Unit is set to 1 Tick, then what we want you to do is to set Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Advanced>> Intraday File Flush Time in Milliseconds to 10000.

We have never heard of a problem even when that is set to the default of 0.

I increased the Intraday File Flush Time to 10000 but still have the same issue and the data received with delay for tick data unit ..

can you please check on this

If the problem is indeed related to the Intraday Data Storage Time Unit, then we really do not have any other solution. We also have no other reports of a problem.


We recommend trying another computer.

i have tried another computer , but i still have the same issue (delay when use tick data unit )............

This really is not making sense. It is hard for us to accept what you are saying because it is completely contrary to how Sierra Chart is designed and there is simply no one else having such a problem.

There is nothing for us to check. There is nothing wrong from our side. We most definitely cannot provide any further help with this.
