Hi,

I've been using SC for a number of months without incident, and today I noticed that I was way behind in updates, so I updated to the current version, 1581. After updating I tried to open the chart book that I use every day and the charts in it will not open. They briefly tile for a split second and then disappear off the screen. The name of the chart book shows in the first tab slot, but I can't open the charts. The charts in the chart book were only of Vix, and only had horizontal lines drawn on various charts, nothing fancy, no code, etc. I tried safe mode and that had the same result. How do I recover my chart book and charts to the point I was before the update.

Thanks for your help,
Curtis

I had the same problem.
But I got around it.
I opened a second chartbook, went to the "CB" menu item, and selected the first chartbook, and it opened OK.
Now I can go back and forth between the chartbooks, and everything seems to be displaying and working normally.

So yes there's some kind of glitch, but it only seems to affect the first time you open the chartbook.
The charts are there, but they were invisible until I did as described.

Thanks Merlin, your approach worked, and I'm good to go for tomorrow!

Support - I'm sure your are going to fix this in a future update - now I have to run thru the steps that Merlin laid out each time I open SC's in the morning to get my charts in my primary chart book to open.

Thanks again for your help on this Merlin,
Curtis

We are removing version 1581 until we determine what the reason for this problem is.

For now go back to version 1580. We do not recommend using 1581. We are going to lock it out.

At this point this will happen automatically as soon as you restart Sierra Chart.

Or you can select Help >> Download Current Version.
