Computer Hangs

When running Sierra Chart, if I minimize or maximize a window within sierra chart or if I minimize or maximize sierra chart itself, then my computer will hang. This has happened at least ten times. When it happens the whole computer is frozen, I can't ctrl-alt-del and even the clock is frozen. I have to hardware restart to get back and running. IF I open SC and just use it without minimizing anything ever, then it works fine. I have updated to the most recent release. Same problem.

Do you know what version you were running before you updated?

We do have reports of a problem with 1581, but different than this. And in any case there should never be a problem in Sierra Chart which would cause an issue like this. In general that is impossible. We do not have any other reports of this and never have.

A problem like this is going to be a system issue. Sierra Chart does not do anything which would cause a whole system to freeze. That is really impossible.

At this point just make sure you are running version 1580 or earlier:

One thing we recommend you do is update the video driver on your computer.

There could be a bug in it and a newer version will resolve it.
