I want to use the daily ADR (5 period) and calculate the 50% and 75% levels off this data point. Then I want SC to automatically highlight these levels above and below the open of the instrument. How can I do that?

Example: ES 5 Period ADR = 10 points. 50% = 5 points and 75% = 7.5 points. Assume open at 2300. I want SC to automatically plot lines at 2307.50, 2305 and 2295, 2292.5

Refer to this page:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/ArithmeticStudies.php

To determine the open use the Daily OHLC study:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/StudiesReference.php&ID=137#Daily_OHLC

If you need help putting this together, we can do that but there will be an additional cost for this.

Hi, I don't feel this is right. I'm a big ambassador for SC on the web and will probably never use another package because you guys are good. But to leave me a comment like the above is unreasonable and not helping your customers to get to know the intricacies of SC better. I have searched relentlessly on the web to get an answer for my issue as described above with no success. I'm doing my bit. Let me explain my steps thus far:

1. Add 5 period ADR study to my historical Daily chart
2. Add 'Study Subgraph Multiply' to Daily Chart (with 0.5 as multiplier)

Now I want to add this data to my 5Min open price. So on the 5 Min chart I added:

1. Daily OHLC study, showing only the open price
2. Add study price overlay referencing the 'Study Subgraph Multiply' study of the daily chart
3. Adding the 'Study Subgraps Add' study and referencing the open price of the OHLC study in 'Input Study 1' and the 'Result' of nr 2 above (The study/price overlay study)

I would have expected the program to add the 50% of ADR study to the open but it doesn't. It just plots the study right on the same line as the open. I've also tried this when Study Settings >> Settings and Inputs >> Based On is set on both a) Main Price Graph and b) Daily OHLC

I know this can't be that difficult but I'm not figuring this out and I'm not willing to pay extra for something that the whole world can use. I kindly request your assistance

Thank you for this. We are quite busy and our focus is on getting long overdue development done in order to get that done faster for the benefit of all users. Therefore, we generally do not handle anything outside the general scope of our support.

Anyway, we have attached a Chartbook that does what you want.

I had some data issues but tested this end of last week. Seems like I was not far off with my logic :). Thank you for looking after a committed customer. I will continue to advocate SC on platforms like futures.io, topstepstrader and the like. Happy coding

Yes, you were pretty much doing the correct configuration.

One thing though that we forgot to mention is that the Daily OHLC study in the Chartbook provided is set to reference the prior day. It sounds like with what you want that you will want to change the Reference Days Back Input to 0 instead of 1.

Thank you.

That is correct and I did make the change :). I also changed 'Study Settings > Settings and Inputs > Scale > Scale Settings to > Same As Region' so that the price does not display so compressed.

I'm just mentioning this in case another client stumble on this thread.

I know you guys don't like to chit chat so I'll leave it at that. Thanks again. These levels are very helpful to me in my trading arsenal

We do see a calculation problem that occurs with this study configuration when historical Intraday data is being downloaded. It is corrected with Chart >> Recalculate.

We will correct this in the next release.

When I am trying to implement this I am unable to select another chart from the 'study subgraph multiple' study. I am only able to 'Base On' <main price graph> or studies within the main price graph. I therefore can't get accurate ADR data from my daily chart.
I am trying to overlay onto a 2t renko.

Yes this is correct and you should not need to select another chart.

Only the Average Daily Range study is copied from the Daily chart using the Study/Price Overlay study.

Is it possible to get the PercentAverageDailyRangeCalculation.cht noted above converted such that it would work in the latest release of Sierra Chart? I am trying to open the file in version 2383 and it says format is invalid

Thank you!
