Hi,

At the end of last year I was told you are considering developing the feature to read market data directly instead of from the chart. Is that still on the plan?

Thanks

We are not sure what you are referring to. It does not make sense to us.

Let me make myself clear. I am developing trading strategies which requires tick data for specific product. I have to set the chart to display tick level data and read the data from sc.BaseData into my advanced custom study. I was told you are developing a feature that can allow user to get market data directly. Is that still on your plan?

a feature that can allow user to get market data directly.
Are you referring to the current real-time data or past historical data?

You need to update Sierra Chart to the current version. Follow the instructions here:

Also this thread that you posted in is unrelated to your question. You needed to start a new Support Request. Here are the instructions for that:

For some reason, other people's question was posted after my post. not sure sure why.

Regarding to my own question, I am referring to real time data.

Therefore, we recommend that you use the Time and Sales data. If you just need the recent trades, that is the best way to access it efficiently:
sc.GetTimeAndSales()
