Per that example on #24, two permanent opposing B/O background highlights does help with viewing. In that example, they are black. Those black highlights do not show last traded price, they simply highlight where the bid and offer is in the last recent volume columns, wrt to the price ladder/scale. ps related and more important, thank you for recent fix of vanishing last traded B/O volumes after a pause in trade. |

actually, what post #24 shows is the jigsaw dom... which highlights the recent bid/ask at the best bid/ask so... it's not It is simply adding a color option to the opposite side of whats currently being traded.
For example: If the offer is being hit by buyers then the recent bid will be a black background color. If the bid is being hit by sellers then the recent offer will be a black background color. but rather just implement post #19 please use the current feature 'ChartDOM Best Bid/Ask Box Background' but instead of highlighting the price column, do the highlighting on recent bid/ask columns

- highlight the 'ChartDOM Best Bid' on the 'recent bid volume' column - highlight the 'ChartDOM Best Ask' on the 'recent ask volume' column It simply allows you to see the relative position [rather than absolute values] of the inside bid and inside ask... without glancing all the way across to the price column. Assume that many DOM traders prefer to stare intently on the Recent Bid Volume and Recent Ask Volume columns, placed side-by-side. And that many of us do not build our DOMs centered around the price column, that column is off to the side, less relevant. |

In the next Pre-Release (v 1933) we have added the ability to highlight the Best Bid and Best Ask within the Recent Bid and Recent Ask columns. You will find the settings for these under Global Settings >> Graphics Settings - Global (or Chart >> Graphics Settings) as the following: - Chart DOM Recent Bid Best Bid Background - Chart DOM Recent Ask Best Ask Background - Trade DOM Recent Bid Best Bid Background - Trade DOM Recent Ask Best Ask Background To display these backgrounds on the Chart DOM or Trade DOM, just select the Enable option for the backgrounds you want to see and select OK or Apply.
