Question on Copy Chart Drawing

Version 1549:

I have chart drawings done on Chart #1.
And Chart #2 set to copy drawings from Chart #1.

However, I notice that in the latest version of SC, I am able to remove chart drawing from Chart #2, and at the same time, it is removed from chart #1 as well.

Is this working as design? As I remember chart drawings can only be deleted from the original chart, not the one that copies it.

Please let me know if my understanding is wrong.

Thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I noticed a behaviour:

I have "Allow Modification of Chart Drawings frm Other Charts" unticked/disabled in Chart #1.
However, I am still able to delete the copied chart drawings from Chart #2. (Drawing on both Chart #1, and Chart #2 are removed).

To prevent this, both Chart #1, and Chart #2 needs to have "Allow Modification of Chart Drawings from Other Charts" unticked/Disabled.

Not sure if this is part of the design. You might want to add this to your documentation.

What is the method you are using to delete the drawing?

That option only applies on the destination chart. It needs to be disabled on the destination chart.

I drew extending rectangle on Chart #1, copied to chart #2.

On Chart #2, right click->Erase drawing.

[Update]
Just read your reply about set the option on Destination chart.

I have no issue here.

Thanks.
