Range Bar Modification Request

I use RANGE PER BAR - NEW BAR ON RANGE MET chart type and request one little modification. it must be OPEN= CLOSE as ( range per bar open=close ) This bar type is crucial as it closes the bar without one tick extention. Is it possible to add this style into bar types? It is every important for my trading setups. |

This is not something we would add. There are already too many range bar types and no one else has asked for this. And all of these are manipulating the actual values, except for one of them. Unfortunately It did not accomplish but it is still helpful. On Range bars, body relations are important. Open = previous close ( sierra has this ) Close = when the range it complete. ( No need to wait for one extra outside tick in order to close it ) Example = for 5 tick, when the 5 tick is reached, new bar begins - ( no need to wait for confirmation tick outside of this 5 tick range in order to start new bar) Screenshots are attached. 2 different other softwares . Thank you Tomgilb Ok , I am asking the community if anybody would get any benefit from this bar type ? If it looks beneficial for you, please let us know. Its a simple range bar and it has 2 simple features. 1-Open= Close of previous bar. ( therefore no gaps appear ) 2-When the range is completed , its done. It closes. There is no need to extend one more extra tick in order to be closed. Here is another example for YM chart, last friday. ( 5 ticks) To Support: I can pay for it if it is added as a bar type. Or if it can be done as a study, I am still interested , as long as it works with tick data. And all the community who is interested can use it. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2017-03-19 16:55:33

Support - I could use this range bar type. User963581 By using the previous range bar close gives one point you are looking for but again only when an extra tick forms the start of the new bar. |
