Hi,
I'm happy with the High/Low for Time Period study, and asking for something that would save me some time.
I realize it may not be available.

Once the high-low range of the first candle is established, i always draw horizontal lines that are twenty ticks above the high, and twenty ticks below the low.

High ________________

Low ________________

is there anything that could do this automatically, as I forget to do this sometimes

Hi,
This is progressing nicely, just one issue.
The horizontal black lines are intentional, is there a way to remove the diagonals, pls?

You need to set the Draw Style for the particular Study Subgraph to "Line - Skip Zeros".

This is an actual amount. It is not in ticks.

Thanks, so points is working and fractions of points.

One more please, a study that draws a line across a session, that shows previous session close

Found the Previous Bar Close study, but would prefer that the line be different daily, instead of a single line

Use the Horizontal Line at Time study:

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion.
Either I'm doing something wrong or didn't word the request clearly
I'm using a daily chart and using the high low opens and closes to draw the pivots as in the attached.
Id also like to draw another line at the close, such as the one penciled in with red.
it would be based on the previous day's closing price, and extend from that close 1 day into the next session.
For input data I have "Last" because not seeing close in the dropdown
Hoping the above provides more info as now thinking the Horizontal Line at Time Study may not be what I'm after.
The open is at 10:00 Sydney time and close at 09:00 for Crude CL.

The study will do what you want but update to the latest release of Sierra Chart following the instructions here:

Hmmm, still having same issue of not drawing the close, using version 1522
I'm attaching a snap of the session times configuration, if it might help.
The actual session times are:
The open is at 10:00 Sydney time and close at 09:00 for Crude CL.
But using the 59's in the configuration, which also works.

I have fiddled with the stop and start times in the "Horizontal Line at Time Study"'s "Settings and Inputs" tab (redline.png), but no luck.

Am I right to use LAST as Input Data, assuming it will be the closing price at the session close?
It would make it easier to have Close in the dropdown, but I'm sure there is a good reason it want included.

It would be nice to have each days close recorded, but if it is too complex, just having the last Close price in a horizontal (across all days) would be good enough, and is assumed to be a frequent request.

We missed the detail about this being a Historical Daily chart because you did not follow our instructions when posting an image of a chart. We will only accept this method:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#Image

What you want to do is not supported.

We had told you to update because recent work was done on the Horizontal Line at Time study and we wanted to make sure you had all of the latest changes so it works as expected.

Also the Session Times in the screenshot are ignored in a Historical chart.

You will have to program what you want yourself or hire a programmer to do it.
