Hi, Is it possible to enable option "extend" to the Chart Calculator like it is on the Line, or option to anchore it to the Fill space ? If yes it would be nice to have it - It's useful when reading ABDiff Volume. thnx Date Time Of Last Edit: 2017-01-24 10:12:58

Let me rephrase the question.... i know that it's not currently possible, but can you add the option?

We did look at this previously but realize this is not really easy to implement with the Chart Calculator drawing tool. And it is not really logical either with that type of tool. It needs to have two clearly defined endpoints which are obvious when looking at it. To extend it means converting it to a Ray. Also any Chart Drawing can have its anchor points to be moved into the fill space. However, the fill space just consists of Date-Time values and can change. I don't know the code behind the toool so I asked for some kind of solution for maybe additional tool if needed. If you can convert it in to a Ray it wold be ok aswell. My reasoning for the toool is to be able to see Ask Bid Difference from one point to the end of the chart (last bar), i.e. from previous high,low, any other anchor without need for constant modification or drawing (extending it manualy into Lock space).

Was a solution or an alternative provided for the previous request? The current Chart Calculator Drawing tool as of version 1871currently does not have the option to extend to the right of the chart without an end point i.e. ray tool to continuously calculate Ask-Bid Difference and Time Difference from the starting point. I am searching for a tool in Sierra Chart that would measure the Time Difference, Ask-Bid Difference, Total Volume, and High - Low Range without having to readjust the line on each new bar. The idea is to track these statistics after a position has been entered to determine the strength of buyers and sellers and duration of the trade. I know the zig zag tool and the draw volume profile tools have some functionality that provides these Time, volume and Ask-Bid Difference statistics but these tools are not as precise as the Chart Calculator Tool is at being able to start the calculations from a specific start time on the chart. Is there is such a dedicated tool available in Sierra Chart or via a 3rd party vendor? If there is, please let me know as it would be very helpful to be able to track these metrics from a specific starting point to the hard right edge of the chart. Or would Sierra Chart please update the tool to provide the ability to have the tool calculate in perpetuity or until closed. Thank You |
