SC DOM Bid/Ask Data Problems

Images attached show significant bid/ask data issues on the Sierra Chart DOM during live trading. My broker, Stage 5 Trading, is telling me "After speaking with the developers, this may have something to do with how SierraCharts is interfacing with the data feed. ... We may have to reach out to Sierra directly to see how their software is interfacing with the API."

Data feed: GAIN Capital

IMG-0457 shows Sierra DOM next to another DOM which is functioning fine.

Please assist.

Anyone else using GAIN data feed having this issue? It puts the DOM reliability in question for me. My broker thinks the problem is with SC and how it's interfacing with the data feed. Whatever that means. My internet speed is +80mbsp so that is not the cause. Also the bid/ask data loss is not happening with other platform's DOM.

Sierra Chart uses the Gain Capital FAST/FIX connection for market data. There have been problems with this data feed on the Gain Capital side.

There is nothing we can do. However, the solution is to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed:

This data feed is fully integrated with Gain Capital.

Now that we look at those chart images, this particular problem is something that we have not really seen or heard about before with Gain Capital.

Maybe they made some change.

We have identified the recent change we made which was meant to solve another Gain Capital market depth problem which apparently is leading to this problem.

Although it should not.

We will revert that change in the next release.

There definitely is a problem with their data feed but the analysis of it is quite extensive to figure out what is going on.

The problem was you were downloading 1409 because that is the version we stated but we meant 1509.
