Hello,
I've just downoladed SC and I was wondering does this software has a feature for developing trading strategies based on technical indicators? For example, I want to go long in certain instrument when MACD lines cross above each other (or something similar).
I couldn't find this on your website, so could you please direct me where it is in the table of contents?

Yes you can do this.

Did you just want a visual indication of where this condition is true? Or did you also want to be able to do back testing and actually submit orders?

I am trading with interactive brokers and they provided me with the paper account, so can I use SC for trading on this type of account so I can check my strategies safely?

It does not matter what type of account you have with a trading service. By default the Spreadsheet System for Trading system uses Sierra Chart's own Trade Simulation Mode for simulation. So this is what you will want to use.

Ok, tnx, I fixed it, but still I have a problem:
I am trying to create a strategy for automated trading in Spreadsheet System for automated trading (one described in user manual you provided me with - Simple Moving Average), but it keep saying that I am using invalid formula, although i copied same formula from user manual. Some assistance please?

Your decimal separator is the "," so instead of using

you have to use

Hello again,
now I have a problem about backtesting strategies. For example, I create strategy based on the MACD crossover on 5 min chart and backtest it. However, when I change to some other time frame (I change everything, even create totally new strategy)I always get same results in trading statistics (trade activity log). Could you explain me little more about this?
