Hi,

I am looking at a window with four different charts but in different time frames. How do I make it so that when I draw a horizontal line on one of the charts, this horizontal line automatically appears on all of them?

Thanks!

Thank you. That helps a lot!

Quick follow up questions...

Is there a way so that when I draw a line in one chart it automatically draws it on all the charts I have opened on the same window. I may have 4 charts in different time frames for the Canadian dollar and instead of going to each chart individually and using the technique you guys showed me above, it would be great if by drawing my lines in the smaller time framed chart, this line automatically appears on all the other charts also.

Thanks you for the great job you folks consistently do.

The only way to do this is what is documented here:

http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/ChartSettings.html#CopyChartDrawingsfromChart (Copy Chart Drawings from Chart Numbers)

You need to set that setting for each chart to refer to the other charts.

Is their a way to Make it that it goes for the Ticker and not the chart. Because I use 3 main setup with watchlist and sometimes I swap my ticker on them and If i put my drawing on setup 1 , when I use setup 3 , with the ticker and another ticker on setup 1. I cant see the Drawing.

thanks

You would want to make sure that the Chart >> Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings 2 >> Show Chart Drawings for Different Symbols is disabled. Refer to the information here:
Chart Settings: Show Chart Drawings For Different Symbols (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Drawings menu)

that is not usefull for me.

Lets say I have 1 to 5 on link 1 with a watchlist and I use chart 1 for my drawing and all other copy it.
I have 6 to 10 on link 2 with the same watchlist and it copy they all copy chart 6.

I have AMD - INTC - AMZN - GOOG in my watchlist

I draw trendline on chart 1 for AMD , then i sawp to intc beause i want to see other stock
and i come back on AMD with the link 2 group my problem is that chart 6 does not have the Trendline anymore.

Is their a way that Chart drawing follow the ticker instead of the charts ?

For the situation you describe, you are correct, the drawings will not show up. But if you had changed Chart 1 to INTC, then back to AMD, then you would see the drawings for AMD.

The change you are asking for is not something we have time to do. There are too many other priorities ahead of it.

ok , then the only way left will be to do my drawing on dummy chart in the background . thanks.

And by using this technique , I am pretty sure the Dev can had this options to the program ( an invisible chart that link all chart for a stock etc. )
