Hi,
Being mentored by a trader who uses Ninja 7, and preferring to avoid a switch from SC.
One issue that's come up is the Slow stochastics study isn't producing graphs looking like his
I'm not able to provide a snap at the moment, perhaps later today I can.
He is saying that the setting is 3,14,3.

Just some questions/info first

I'm assuming the setting required is
fast K 3
fast D 14
slow D 3
however without looking at the Nija setup, perhaps the listing is in a different order when config is made.
If a stochastic setting is shared, is there a standard, that assumes the config is as above?
I will try mixing up the values later today.
There is also that, unfortuneately, the ninja calc is done end of candle, whiich SC does not provide

One option would like to try, if others fail, is to compare, by downloading the free version of ninja, and importing historical data. I would need help in what format ninja can import, if known, or at least the most likely importable format SC can export

Set the first three inputs of the Stochastic-Slow study to:
14, 3, 3

For importing and exporting data, refer to:

Hi,
14, 3, 3
works, thanks for that.

I have a slightly different import issue now, that's not mentioned on the import export link
i have .scid data saved from 2012.
I wish to see the old data charted, without connecting and updating it with any realtime data.
How is that done pls?

Do i need to export scid to a text format, in order to see it on a chart?

Its the seeing on chart bit im confused about, because i am used to picking a symbol, and then the data service provides historical plus realtime.
But I only want to view historical, and the historical contract ID is now outdated

Just simply open the existing Intraday data file you have through File >> New/Open Intraday Chart if it has a scid file extension.

There is nothing special to do.

If it is an expired symbol, it will not update in real-time.

2. And somehow i have lost the triangles that are put on the chart when fills are recorded.

So for #2, the attached Capture.PNG is the correct dialog, and from its setting, should be showing the fill triangles, I believe.
But its not.
Let me just work backward for a sec, what turns off the triangles that appear when a fill has been made?

I can also see Market Depth window activity

i don't know how i turned off the Fill display switch, and now Im thinking I clicked something else :)
