Hi. I'm still rather new to this platform but I really like it so far. I was looking at my trades today on the ES and it says that some were made with the symbol ESZ6 and others were made on ESZ16. I think my charts had different symbols.

Does it matter which symbol I use? Why are there more than 1 for the same instrument? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

We see you are using the Gain Capital trading service. So therefore the symbol needs to be a single digit year. The correct symbol is: ESZ6.

Ok. Did you make an adjustment to my account? I still want to see those other symbols. It seems like I am unable to now in real time where previously I was able to.

Now there is something wrong with my data feed. When I pull up Crude Oil (GCLX6) the price is frozen and not updating. It doesn't do this on some of the other symbols. What happened? Please reset my account to the settings before I sent in this request. My intention was not to make things worse.

No, there were no adjustments to your Sierra Chart account and we have no control over your Gain Capital account.

Regarding charts not updating in real-time, refer to:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/GAINCapitalOECTrader.php#SymbolLimit

One thing that can contribute the problem is using some symbols that have two digit years and some symbols with single-digit years. Make sure all the symbols used in charts and on Quote Boards have a single digit year. Here are the instructions to change the symbol of a chart:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SwitchingSymbols.html

After the changes reconnect to the data feed:
