I have the Sierra Chart #5 service and CQG via AMP. I setup CQG according to your site, including Connect to Market Data Service = False. When connecting it seems successful but when opening a symbol I get the message above in the log. I also briefly see Download Failed in the chart window when opening the symbol

Ok, maybe I misread something - I'm just trying to get live and historical data for the ES...is that not the right symbol for your system?

That is a Stock index premium symbol. In Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings, you need to set Connect to Market Data Server = True. Now I get the following errors when trying Historical and Intraday: HD Request # 5 | Error downloading historical Daily data for ESU16-$INX. Why are you using that symbol? No need to answer that question. We have made it clear that you do not have access to that symbol and we told you where to find the futures symbols. Sorry must have missed that part - thanks for kindly pointing me the right way 20 years of making small software companies into big ones and the setup wasn't as obvious/easy as I hoped |
