Cash Forex Trading and Sierra Chart

This thread is being started because one of the cash Forex trading services that Sierra Chart supports, FXCM, is not a practical choice for many of our users and potential users at this time. The reason for this is that FXCM has raised the minimum account requirement for FIX connections to their service to 10,000 USD. Sierra Chart uses a FIX connection to FXCM for trading. This problem has been solved by us by using a single FIX connection and common order routing. This has been released at this time for the FXCM demo trading system but not to their live trading system. This has not been released for live trading because FXCM requires a service provider agreement before we can proceed with this but their legal department has not yet drafted that agreement and the other associated requirements for entering into that agreement. We are told that there has been a lot of internal discussion at FXCM relating to this, without any resolution. This issue does not involve us but just simply internal FXCM legal matters. Therefore, the recommended choices for Cash Forex trading at this time are: Interactive Brokers LMAX Direct FX through CQG You can also consider trading Forex futures through the CME using any of the supported futures trading services: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/Data.php#Services And at some point, we do expect FXCM to be a reasonable choice in the near future once this service provider agreement is provided to us. Hi SC, I just spoke with FXCM and they said the minimum balance on the fix is $10K not 25K. Please confirm because I just (07.21.16 11am) spoke with someone on the phone that reassured me that on there end the minimum balance is $10,000 to open up an account with the FIX connection. |

As far as what I saw on Sierra Charts website: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/FXCMTrading.php (please refer to line 2). Furthermore, since Sierra Charts requires FIX APi (assuming that is still the case), I can confirm we provide that to accounts with $10,000. When you are ready feel free to let me know. Do you mean Direct FX? We would have to double check, but from what remember they do not take customers from the US.
