i think there needs to be a more comprehensive chart template that expands on the study collections. maybe this is on your long list of things to implement, but it would be nice if you could save the exact setup of a chart indicators, charts settings, graph settings, etc. this wouldnt replace the study collections as that has its purpose as well. it would be like you were duplicating a chart but saving that to a file so you dont have to keep it open at all time being afraid to lose it.

This is already supported, you will need to save your charts within a Chartbook: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_Chartbooks.html And you can set the Graphic Settings to be chart specific: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_GraphicsSettings.html#Introduction Sierra Chart Support |

thanks for the reply. i thought of doing it this way but it just seems like a workaround rather than a proper chart template. i will do this for now but i think what i noted above is more intuitive, quicker/less steps, and doesnt feel unfinished or an afterthought. did you mention the graphic settings being chart specific as a way to change it on a chart just to show it can be done(i have already done this) or is there info there that i need to do to properly backup this chart as a template? |
