thanks for the reply. i thought of doing it this way but it just seems like a workaround rather than a proper chart template. i will do this for now but i think what i noted above is more intuitive, quicker/less steps, and doesnt feel unfinished or an afterthought. did you mention the graphic settings being chart specific as a way to change it on a chart just to show it can be done(i have already done this) or is there info there that i need to do to properly backup this chart as a template?
