I like to have standings orders in place which may be well away from the current price action. It would be useful therefore to create an order type which flattens the existing position/s(if any) and then sells/buys at the defined price. How can this be done? How do I create a new order which is a child of an existing order? (or even a child of an existing child?) Thanks, Tony |

You just need to submit an order with the appropriate order quantity which will flatten your position and establish a new position in the quantity that you want. Set that order to the price that you want. This is all. We would think this would be very obvious. In regards to the 2nd question, it sounds as though you are looking to Send Attached Orders. Refer to the documentation here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_OrderTypes.html#SendAttachedOrders Child orders on child orders are not supported. This gets to be too complicated.
