Hi there,
Have been through your indicators and cannot see what appears to be relatively simple option.
I would like to have an indicator that draws a horizontal bar, to the right, at a specified time, which in my particular example would be the UK open at 8am and US open at 2.30pm.
I would have it on a 1 min chart so if the open is at 100.04, then a horizontal bar is automatically drawn across to the right, at this open price. Please note that it is not a bar high or low, it is simply the opening price of 1 particular bar that can be projected across a chart.

Obviously these times change due to various time zone discrepancies, so the start time, and how long the horizontal bar could extend across, would have to be variable and inputted by the user.
Does this indicator exist?

I am aware that an indicator that shows the range within a specified time period exists. This is useful but does not display the vital opening price. At the moment I am doing it manually across various charts and it is very time consuming for a vital part of the trading day!

Regards,
Bootsyjam

Hi there,
Am using the Horizontal Line at time study, except....it doesn't work.
It's set to start at 2.30pm (14:30:00) until 5pm on the main chart, at the open price, with a solid blue line and....nothing.
Have looked at all the various tick boxes and have tried turning them on and off but nothing works. How can such a simple indicator not be appearing?

We tested the study and it does work properly.

When you look at the Window >> Chart Values window do you see a value for it there?

But what we mean is the value of the Subgraph nonzero and the open price for the day?

Ok in chart window, underneath the line that I quoted in my previous post, it says Line 00:00:00. Which is not the time that I set it for in the settings window

What is the Subgraphs >> Draw Style for the Horizontal Line at Time study set to? Although that should not matter.

It appears as though Value Format setting for the study is not set correctly.

It needs to be set to Inherited or 1.

Hi there,
Draw style: line
Line style: Solid
Width/size: 1
Displacement: 0

Where is this value format and how can it be set?

I have now reset the study to default so it starts at 12.00.
Then I set it back to 14:30:00.
Guess what. The Horizontal Line at Time is now.....vertical.
Please help, this is really important as I need to see the open price and don't have time to set it manually across all charts with a drag and drop line

The Horizontal Line at Time is now.....vertical.

This does not really make sense with the Line Draw Style. Possibly if it is spanning only 2 chart bars, but it would never be exactly vertical.

Attach a Chartbook containing only a single chart with this Study. Here are instructions:

Support Board Posting Information: Providing Chartbook with Only a Single Chart

Let us know the time zone setting you are using in Sierra Chart.

Otherwise, we cannot reproduce the problem and we are puzzled as to why there would even be a problem with this study.
