I want to use a daily chart with intraday data of the Dax Future in a remote instance of SC. It seems not to be possible to show sufficient data in the remote instance. What am I doing wrong or how can this be fixed? Please see the attached screenshots for my settings.

As the documentation explains you cannot use the Continuous Futures Contract feature with a remote chart data file.

There is also a completely new feature to use another instance of Sierra Chart and share data from a main instance. Follow these instructions:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_DTCServer.php#UsingDTCServerForDataAndTradingInAnotherSCInstance

This method will let you use the Continuous Futures Contract feature.

Which way would you recommend using:
A: Using a new instance within the main/source SC instance?
B: Installing a second instance of SC and using the DTC- Sub Instance as Data Service?

Are there differences in the resources used? What/where are the differences?

There really is no practical difference between these. It is easiest to use A.
