Second Installation connection refused

Trying to run a second copy of SC to expand my chart viewing options in regards to this thread. Multiple monitors multiple chartbooks

Did Did the second installation ok and copied files to second installation But when attempting to connect second installation, getting this error:

This can be solved by changing the Instance Client ID in Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings.

However, there is now a much better and preferred way to do what you want. This is documented here:

Thanks. The new instance works very well. Good work. This change makes SC much more usable in viewing multiple chartbooks simultaneously.

Is there a way of saving the chartbooks to open on the new instance?

The new instance initially received a copy of your existing Chartbooks but they are saved into a different folder and will be separate going forward.

They can be automatically opened in the new instance by following the instructions here:
