I have 4 monitors and monitor 4 instruments.
For each instrument I have a number of charts within the chartbook. I want to put an instrument/chartbook on each monitor. Is this possible?
I can see that i can detatch charts but that does not address the problem

No. This is not supported. Longer-term it will be.

You can have the chart arrangement that you're describing, but it's all done through 1 chartbook, not 4 chartbooks. I use 1 chartbook on 2 monitors, but there's only 1 menu bar and 1 toolbar. In your case, the menu bar would stretch across the top 2 monitors, the tool bar would be wherever you placed it. You have to configure your video card to where each monitor is displaying one quarter of the chartbook. I'm not sure what you'll initially be seeing, but at some point, whether it's now or it was before you configured your video card, you'll need to manually pull the exterior borders (the double arrows) of the chartbook to where the 1 chart book now covers all 4 monitors. Your video card will let you save this configuration as a preset, do that, and you'll probably need to save 1 or 2 more presets, depending on the different things you would use your monitors for. I have three presets, they're all icons on my desktop: 1. Sierra Chart (this is the 2 monitor configuration 2. Disable #1 (this disables the upper monitor) 3. Disable #2 (this disables the lower monitor). Now populate the chartbook with your individual charts, and arrange them into the "4 chartbook" display that you wanted. The outer borders of the charts that are at the edges of each monitor can be perfectly fitted to each monitor. I've included a snapshot of my chartbook, but it's not going to display right when viewing it on 1 monitor. My chartbook measures 35" wide and 39" vertically, and every individual chart that you see measures 11.5" x 6.25". If you really want it, you can do it, it's just going to take some time.

thanks for that but the issue i have is that i have 4 monitors, 2 of which are not the same resolution as the other 2 so you cannot stretch it like this, hence the request to open up separately. I also like to open a chart to take the full screen as opposed to having lots of little ones. So what you suggest would be a good option if my monitors were all the same resolution. Thank you

What about installing 4 SC instances? I do use it that way and it's working just fine.

Yes, this is another way to do it. Refer to the documentation here for this:

yes i thought of that but then are you not flooding your connection with 4 data feeds?

The solution to that is to use the data sharing feature which is also documented on the page we linked above. So you would not connect to the data feed in the other three instances.
