BTCCYN-OKCOIN feed in unstable, has gaps in data

Okcoin btccny feed freezes frequently and regularly, making gaps in the chart. This is a real problem as it makes SC pretty unusable here. Usually it hangs up for a few minutes but sometimes it takes 10 minutes and more. Different charting web-services do not experience such problems. E. g. here is a comparision example with a chart from tradingview.com http://i.imgur.com/qtpNOsL.png Bitcoinwisdom, cryptowatch and others keep updating charts in realtime when SC chart is frozen. So the problem must be on your side, something with code which is responsible for pulling the data from okcoin API, I guess. Requesting to look the issue and fix it. Thank you.

This is going to be due to a connectivity problem not a Sierra Chart server or software problem. It is not something we are willing to spend any time on. OK Coin is not a good quality service. If it is a problem, just discontinue use of OK Coin from within Sierra Chart. If anything we may just drop OK Coin altogether. Okcoin is the top bitcoin exchange for now. I'm trading there. How am I supposed to discontinue use of it? Just half a year ago your okcoin data feed was excellent. Well, your answer is just sad. Good luck with that.

Just a note once again, but other charting services don't have so much "connectivity problems" as you have. SC feed even skips indivitual ticks making the chart all torn out at 1min and lesser timeframes.

OK we will have a look again. Our position is that we have to focus on our other development priorities which serve the larger user base. And not a minority of users. We are using an older API of OK Coin which when we studied it in the past we were not impressed by. We think this is the source of the problem. We are not using their current API. But we see they have a new FIX API which is much better: https://www.okcoin.cn/about/fix_getStarted.do Eventually we may develop trading support for them but this will be a paid option. Also for us to determine the reason for this problem, does take a lot of work and testing: SC feed even skips indivitual ticks making the chart all torn out at 1min and lesser timeframes. It simply will not matter anymore when using the FIX API. Just half a year ago your okcoin data feed was excellent. Based upon new information from studying their documentation, we think the reason this is true is because we are using their older API and the old API is no longer functioning well on the OK Coin side.
