Since moving to version 1414, I am finding Sierra is struggling.

Anyone else notice this?

Thanks

I just downgraded to version 1400 and it is perfect. Something has changed in this upgrade.

Not sure what this would be. Do you use Spreadsheets?

No spreadsheets, It is strange when I move the mouse around the screen it lags. Scrolling across the x axis is terrible.

I dont know what it could be. I am not having that issue with version 1400

Not sure. Another user reported the exact opposite that the performance was significantly better.

topic 30 is meaningless. It is working perfectly before all the changes.

It is not meaningless. If you do not want to review those items to determine what the particular cause is, then we can not help.

Furthermore it is extremely difficult for us to know what the issue is. We do not notice an issue and other users are not noticing an issue. And we would not expect any issue like this. We would expect the exact opposite.

We recommend installing another copy of Sierra Chart on your system and gradually configure it to a similar set up so you can isolate the cause.

The reason help topic 30 is not meaningless, is because it still is going to be one of the items listed and it gives us an idea of where the problem is.

However, we definitely would not expect anything like this and we would have no idea where to look.

It could be that your configuration is not efficient to begin with, and due to changes with the final compiled executable, your CPU just is not running it as fast as before. In this particular case, there is generally nothing we can do.

I did notice somewhat higher CPU usage with 1414.
Under heavy trading a couple of hours ago it seemed to be causing some extra latency with placing orders (via ACSIL).

(SC CPU usage used to be 45-48%, with v1414 - 52-55%. - This is on CNS VPS 2 cores of i7-980 and 2 GB RAM, only running IBGateway and 3 1-min charts in SC with EURUSD and EURJPY, 20ms update interval).

You are right it probably is my machine. I am running a Dell Xeon Workstation, with 2 processors and 24GB of ram. Maybe I should upgrade.

In the meantime while I research what PC to buy I will look at topic 30.
