Update Sierra Chart to the current version following the instructions here:

Set "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Service" to "FXCM Demo Trading - DTC".

Connect to the server with "File >> Connect to Data Feed".

(1) Thanks for the Demo a/c number ...but; my original complaint was - when I select FXCM Demo Trading - DTB I get a BLANK screen ...no fields to fill details like a/c number. [version 1406]

1. There are no settings for that service.

2. No. It can be used now. You just need to select File >> Connect to Data Feed.

You do not need to enter the account number. Sierra Chart automatically receives it from the server upon connection to the data feed and trade server.

in Data/ Trade Services Settings I've selected FXCM Demo Trading - DTC; and then File >> Connect to Data Feed; but - yellow "waiting for connection" and message log reads disconnection, connection time out ...should we suspect the a/c number; would you consider cross-checking to confirm whether it works? thanks.
Do I have to login with the demo a/c number or it is automatically selected when I choose FXCM Demo Trading - DTC?

Either there is something unusual about the password which is affecting the comparison or you have changed the password but need to restart Sierra Chart.

We have reset your Sierra Chart charting and trading software password. It has been sent in a separate e-mail to your e-mail address.

If you did not receive it, let us know. Your e-mail provider may have filtered the message and placed it in a junk mail folder.

Restart Sierra Chart and log in with that new password. Here are instructions:

You should no longer have any trouble connecting after this. If you do, we will check the server log again and we will better be able to determine the problem this time with additional logging.

We now know why this happens.

You are not saving the password on the Login window.

Anyway, this actually was resolved in the latest release of Sierra Chart. Update to the latest release with Help >> Download Current Version and it will be solved.

Yes. The username and password are also the same as the account number.

Sierra is uptodate with purchase time and I have an existing FXCM demo account.
Will Sierra need to assign a new FXCM demo to my Sierra account or is there a way I can assign my existing FXCM demo.
