cannot open any chartbooks on new computer installation

I transferred data file and other necessary files to new computer but cannot get charts to open. I transferred the data file from inside the C: sierra data file on main page into C: sierra data file on main page. When I open data on main page then open data file inside I see stock symbols, chartbooks etc. but don't find them when I open Sierra on desktop.when click file I see no chartbooks listed. My data is from IB and I seem to be connecting fine, activeX , socket etc. are all enabled, farm connections all say connected. What am I missing - Pleaae help - Thank You

This is not completely clear for us.

So when you select File >> Open Chartbook do you not see the Chartbooks?

Correct when I click File>>Open Chartbook I see no chartbooks listed. I get an open chartbook pop-up box but only thing listed is the example chartbook which comes with the program download.

This is what we expected. So the Chartbook files (cht file extension) need to be installed into this folder from your other installation:

Data Files path: C:\SierraChart\Data\

After those Chartbook files are copied in there you should then see them when you select File >> Open Chartbook.

well I hate to say this but I
transferred the data file from c: <sierra chart<data from currently working system to same place on new computer and still no chartbooks come up. the data file transferred shows .cht files for all my chartbooks and I see the same on new installation. besides the data folder in c: sierra data, there are a lot of .scid files, none of which were transferred because they are below the data folder. Do I need these .scid files transferred as well ??? Instructions say not necessary ??? I transferred all the other files in sierra main folder as stated in instructions. I am really baffled now. hope you can put your finger on it. thanks

I did notice a couple of files in my working installation in the C:>>sierra main page, that are not on that page in the new installation. sierrachartsetup,spreadsheetgear.dll, ssleay32.dll and sierrachart.workbookcontrol library.dll are all missing in the new installation. Are these files supposed to download with Sierra download ??? Sorry to be a pain but I cannot see anything else.Please let me know if you have any more suggestions. Maybe I should delete the whole new sierra file and start from scratch ??

These files are not needed. Most of them are no longer used.
